1morecupofcoffee
Hi,Can anyone with a child at St Johns & St Clements tell me if the school has difficulty retaining teaching staff? It's a rumour I've come across and I want to know if there's any truth to it as our eldest has a place there starting this September. Thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/58870-staff-turnover-at-st-johns-and-st-clements/ Share on other sites
cactus
A rumour without any substance, I have a child at the school, and there is no evidence at allof a high staff turnover. Plus it's a lovely school, I wouldn't worry at all about your child starting there in September. E2
Agree with Cactus. No truth in that at all. My son is has been at the school for 4 years and only staff turnover I'm aware of has been for maternity leave and they the return. All the teachers and staff I know are great. flocker spotter
Depending on how long ago you were there, you might possibly remember Mrs Brooks or Ms Bosman - or maybe Mrs Irving?Mrs Pett and Mrs King both retired whilst my children have been at the school. Otta
I left way back in 1989 and I remember Ms Brookes very well, she was my older sister's class teacher, and taught my class occasionally.Acouple of the other names (Bosman and Pett) are ringing bells, but not sure. JDR
TBH, there's been very little change of staff since we arrived. 3 NQT's that year, 1 since. Very stable staffing in our time ( our fourth year) miss Bosman a possible but she's had more than one career so maybe not as long as you'd think at StJ&StC Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/58870-staff-turnover-at-st-johns-and-st-clements/#findComment-849233 Share on other sites
Otta
Well unless she's left and come back, Ms Brooks must have been there over 30 years by now.
