aquarius moon
My money's on Russia & Norway (not a lot, but nice to win something on the best songs)Very worried about Sweden (great on-stage visuals, sexy man, average song)Little bit worried about Italy (nice song, classical 'Il Divo' type sexy men)Not at all worried about UK ( always quite bad, this year appalling)Opinions? Loz
I actually quite like the UK song. Best we've had in years (though that's not difficult). Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/59842-eurovision-song-contest/#findComment-850959 Share on other sites
aquarius moon
You & me disagree on most things Loz, so am I surprised? It will still be cool to compare notes later on. Will you be watching? aquarius moon
I didn't realise you were from Finland KB! Norway isn't far from there. Can you please put a spell on them to win instead (or Russia!) ;-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/59842-eurovision-song-contest/#findComment-850977 Share on other sites

Loz
Pretty much dross so far. Lithuania and UK best at the moment, though the girl in the UK entry looked like she'd never performed on stage before. Loz
Serbia was described on Twitter as "like Adele and Lady Gaga all rolled into one", which sums it up quite well.Norway was truly boring.Sweden - good song (could even chart with a remix), clever staging. Could be a winner. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/59842-eurovision-song-contest/#findComment-850990 Share on other sites

Loz
I think Bruno Mars might be consulting his lawyer about the Aussie entry. Could be a contender, though. Could be a winner. That's what I'm afraid of. Staging may earn the votes.Norway boring? No, it was fab! Too early to stand a chance unfortunately, but fingers crossed.Russia then. No 25 so in good position. Best song. Just depends if they get the votes. Loz
Up until Spain it was a bit of a run of entries with no hope of winning going on with not much standing out. maxxi
All very dreary and a little too earnest so far (apart from mad botox man); where's the bonkers?**Sentence to be read in eurovis fashion- start in minor key, breathy and mucho vibrato then build to the one note you can belt out and gi' it laldy - hold for 8 seconds - cue audience drones on feet cheering and sobbing. Job done.ETA: Russia must win prize for most vomit-inducing pap so far. Loz
Russia could definitely be in with a shot. Unless the issue of half of Europe not liking Russia much at the moment lowers their vote significantly.Still Sweden and Serbia for me, with Australia and Russia doing well and the UK scoring a decent mid-table mediocrity. maxxi
Montenegro - the only true eurovis song (apart from that mad waitress third second from the end*) in a glut of X-Factor does Eurovision glitzy rip-off lameness. Should have watched the semis.*Albania, that was her - spirited beats tuneful any day.
