  1. Absolute heroes! I just ordered from Mirash after reading this thread. Its our turn to support wonderful local businesses like this one during lockdown 2.0. Big love Mirash! And the food was delicious!
  2. Jeremy Corbyn is not anti-semitic. He didn't say it didn't exist in the Labour party. He said its existence had been exaggerated. Which it has. YouGov survey of anti-semitism conducted in 2017 shows that the LP was the LEAST anti-semitic of all the parties, even less than when they had a Jewish leader in Ed Miliband two years earlier when they were second least anti-semitic. Anti-semitism has been abused for political reasons by the media, the Tories and members of the LP as a way of deligitimising Corbyn. Anyone who doesn't realise this should perhaps try reading something other than the Daily Mail once in a while. Broaden your minds. Educate yourselves. Oh and by the way, do you know who is anti-semitic? Our Prime Minister.
  3. @Albrighton, are you still open just Mon-Fri or now also at weekends? Just wondering when I can drop off a donation. Congratulations on the incredible work that you do!
  4. Is there a Caroline Clark on Abbotswood Road? I have some post for you that arrived at my house, addressed to my house, but with your name on it. Looks like it might be a gift as there is both a card and book. Please DM me and I will pop round! Nina
  5. Please watch this vid. Dr Michael Gregor is my hero! He reviews clinical studies and gives honest and accurate advice about all things diet and health related. Order some amla powder online (dried Indian gooseberries) for around 6 quid for 100g. Just one teaspoon a day mixed in with a smoothie or water (though it tastes bad!) And it should apparently lower your cholesterol as well as or even better than any statin can. Have just given my mum the same advice so I am very keen to see if this works as well as its reported to. I ordered from a company called golden greens online just because I got the impression that it is a good quality product. Good luck! Would also recommend watch many other of his videos. So much good unbiased advice.
  6. Thanks for the feedback peeps. I will call 101 today.
  7. I love how selfies with Ed Sheeran keeping popping up when scrolling through instagrams hashtagged with #meanded :)
  8. Thoughts please! I was subjected to some pretty nasty verbal abuse at around 5pm this evening near Sainsburys. This guy on a bike was heading straight towards me on the path and I had to shift out of the way quickly or he would have hit me. He was looking straight at me as though he was doing it on purpose. I couldn't help but look back at him as he really would have hit me if I hadn't moved out the way. And he just started saying "Fuck you b*tch, wh*re, I'll f*cking spit in your face bitch... (more vitriolic expletives)". I was a bit shocked so looked back at him again, at which point he said "That's it, f*cking wh*re" threw his bike down and started walking towards me. I didn't look back at him again and just walked away. Nothing happened. There were lots of people round, women and small kids sadly, so although I felt a bit shakey I didn't really think he would actually do anything. But the way it happened it just seemed as though he was cycling around on his bike looking for someone to take his anger out on. Just wondering what the consensus is with reporting things like this to the police. It feels like a waste of time because no harm was done, but I would not like to meet this guy when it was dark and no-one was around. Also, I live close by so am a little bit worried about seeing him again. I've lived in ED for 8 years and never had this before. Maybe I've been living in a bubble all this time! He's clearly a very troubled individual. I just find it very sad. Is it best to just leave it?
  9. Is anyone planning on taking part in this tomorrow? There is a start point at West Norwood. Has anyone done it before? What happens at the end? Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks!
  10. The Poo Thread!!! Aaahhh who remembers the Poo thread? Quickly morphing from incredulous disgust to quick-witted hilarity it was clearly the best thread the forum had ever seen. Such a shame that the poopetrator (who was easily identifiable at the time as being the stag of a stag do in the EDT) felt so panicked that he and his friends bullied and threatened the OP into having the thread removed. Not before several thousand EDFers had read it of course. 😂
  11. Does anyone know if there are any public facilities anywhere for shredding confidential waste? Bank statements etc...? I asked at the Veolia recycling place on Old Kent Road, but they just pack it all together without shredding so I don't fancy leaving it there. I have rather a lot to shred so don't want to do it manually ideally! Thanks!
  12. You're not the first... I found one a couple of months ago and then found this thread on the forum... http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1897556,1899227#msg-1899227 I think the overall message was to put it outside in a sheltered / safe area, after giving it some sugar water if you can. But please read the other responses and see what you think!
  13. First world problem. Be grateful you have money to buy the things you need. Lots of people don't! 😁

I don't think that's very fair. I drive a van for a living and I'm not fick.
