Manuka is a native bush in New Zealand and tends to grow pretty much everywhere. I was stunned at the price of Manuka honey over here but then again the only stuff they seem to have in the supermarkets is this UMF stuff, which I guess you must get back in NZ too but generally Manuka honey is just nice honey that will set you back a couple of quid in the supermarkets. Personally I think this whole UMF thing is just a bit of a have to up the price.

    • ditto - the lack of respect the organisers / council have for the impact on the wildlife and damage to the park is the reason I protest the Gala on its current site. The noise is secondary
    • Not sure about that - I'm personally not too bothered by the noise, despite living possibly the closest to the site. I am bothered by the impact on all the wildlife, as should hopefully everyone with a conscience and who care about their community?
    • Their coffee and food is delicious. Really nicely decorated cafe with a nice vibe and a great selection of books too. The owner and staff are all very friendly and happy to chat when preparing your order.
    • The venn diagram of people who are personally really bothered by the noise from GALA and are also deeply concerned about the local bat population looks remarkably just like a circle.
