Barbershop / Choir Etc.

Hi Guys,

I just wondered if there was any kind of barbershop quarter or something similar in or around East Dulwich. I am a complete novice and never even tried it but quite fancy giving it a go if there was a friendly non-intimidating group in the local area?

Here is a link. Booking is normally in August ?85 per term ?75 for concessions. It's not religious and definitely suitable for novices, you don't need to read music and there are no auditions.

Hi TomorrowMD,you could give us a try- Note-Orious Choir. We're based in East Dulwich and rehearse on Monday nights 8-10 above the EDT. There is also the Dulwich Folk Choir, meets Upstairs at the EDT on Tuesday nights at 7pm, very friendly, good mix of men and women, no auditions, no need to read music.

?4 a session, pay per session. Term time only.

Many of the members get together to do singing things outside the choir (not just folk things), so you might well find people who were into forming a Barbershop Quartet (or whatever) with you.
