fkfkdkdkd
Hi Guys,I just wondered if there was any kind of barbershop quarter or something similar in or around East Dulwich. I am a complete novice and never even tried it but quite fancy giving it a go if there was a friendly non-intimidating group in the local area? Thanks everyone! fkfkdkdkd
Many thanks for this, sounds very interesting.Would it be suitable for a complete novice and is it themed in any way (i.e. religious etc.).Thanks so much. fkfkdkdkd
I have looked on the website and think I must be being stupid as I can't seem to see any contact details or anything like that.If you know of a suitable email address I would be most grateful if you could pass it on. MrsR
Here is a link. Booking is normally in August ?85 per term ?75 for concessions. It's not religious and definitely suitable for novices, you don't need to read music and there are no auditions.http://www.horniman.ac.uk/visit/events/raise-the-roof-thursdays-1031 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/60059-barbershop-choir-etc/#findComment-852242 Share on other sites

caz
Hi TomorrowMD,you could give us a try- Note-Orious Choir. We're based in East Dulwich and rehearse on Monday nights 8-10 above the EDT. We're a non audition community choir singing a mix of rock and pop, indie and show tunes. Check us out on our You Tube channel and Facebook - Note-Orious Choir and Twitter @noteoriouschoir. If you're interested contact us on [email protected] and come for a free taster session. Sue
There is also the Dulwich Folk Choir, meets Upstairs at the EDT on Tuesday nights at 7pm, very friendly, good mix of men and women, no auditions, no need to read music.?4 a session, pay per session. Term time only. Many of the members get together to do singing things outside the choir (not just folk things), so you might well find people who were into forming a Barbershop Quartet (or whatever) with you.You can just turn up, but if you want more info beforehand, PM me and I'll give you Aimee Leonard's contact details (she runs the choir).Hope you find what you're looking for!
