Sorry admin not sure which section to post this in, or indeed what to call the thread.

We've become aware that there are people who would like to go to Goose gigs but who are not too keen to go by themselves. I can really sympathise as I used to be in the same position when wanting to go to music events but having noone to go with.

We'd like to try to help so if you mention at the door that you're by yourself, we'll try to introduce you to others who have also come alone. We'll do our best not to make this too obvious or cause you any embarrassment!

Alternatively, if you PM me or contact me via the Goose website (see below) before the gig you want to come to, I'll try to put you in touch with others beforehand, so you can make arrangements to meet.

Would also mean that you get to meet people with the same musical interests as yourself!

It's not the Sally Army, BBW!

And in case you didn't know, sandals and socks are very on trend. Well, for women anyway :))

Well I can see why, it's about people and gigs, not about ED ;-) It's also a promotional post for commercial events... so possibly Admin was being quite lenient.

Don't worry too much Sue, as the Lounge actually gets more visitors more often than the ED section. You're better off in here.

I think it's a fine idea by the way!

    • Echoed, your efforts are much appreciated, thank you.
    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
