I actually would like some helpful advice.I want folding doors so that I maximise the incredible view we have and well because I want them rather than plastic opening doors. If you can't say anything useful then why bother posting. Very strange response Stevie. Hope you enjoy your plastic 'french doors'.

We used Bifolding Door Factory http://www.bifoldingdoorfactory.co.uk/ for a kitchen extension project last year.

They are a supplier of Shucco doors which seemed to be a decent German make. They have a little showroom unit in Croydon - it was useful to take a look at the doors before making a decision.

They worked pretty well with our builder for scheduling and were a bit cheaper than others.

After-sales service has so far proved decent. We noticed some dust streaks inside the sealed glass units. These are apparently covered under a 20 year warranty and they promptly came out and replaced the glass without any objection or fuss.

No idea whether they better than other suppliers, and who knows if they'll still be around in 20 years, but we are happy with the end result.

    • What is it that makes Waitrose so special! Admittedly I have shopped a couple of times in the Orpington and Beckenham one - sometimes buying food which I cannot get else where. Their 'basic range' is not bad. Price for price and quality - M & S.
    • Sometimes a shed or other installation has to have written approval from the freeholder i.e. Southwark, Southwark has (or did have) a Leaseholder Association.   Could also come under Anti Social Behaviour Unit.
    • Love Dulwich is great but has a large step in front. We have only been weekdays at Lunch time. Maria's next to Picture House is disabled friendly. Also can reserve table in advance. We did a Sunday lunch catch up with family - there were 8 of us.
    • Hi, Thinking about  going with some friends and was just wondering if folk might like to report back please. Most importantly sound level when busy & is it disabled friendly.  Thinking on a Sunday lunchtime but don’t want a busy busy environment or loud chatter - a couple of friends could not cope. Time can be flexible, if that helps - say 2 ish to avoid above.. Thanks…
