Well re the cat/fox bit..I can only report what I have seen, foxes are pretty cowardly when faced with a spitting feline, & try to avoid any injuries to themselves, yes an old feeble cat or or possibly young one might not stand a chance, I've had cats years, not had one injured or attack yet, just seen them attacking. not saying it doesn't happen, just not in my garden at the moment (just after we moved to our flat 9 years ago, we saw one of our old cats sitting in the sun next to a big old fox...we thought they were having an affair)

Anyway..has Lidle opened yet in the old Iceland place ? I'm getting impatient ;)

I must say I am missing popping into Iceland each day. After running errands and visiting the Post Office, I usually pick up little bits for dinner, salads, milk and ice lollies for the children. The staff in the LL branch were lovely and I am sad it has gone. Peckham high street branch just isn't the same in my opinion.

    • Marveling at the chutzpah of Brexit supporters wanging on about a 4.99% increase in council tax which equates to circa £94/year for the average Band D, whereas it's conservatively estimated* that Brexit has cost each UK household circa £1k/year.  At least with council tax there are actual tangible benefits e.g. weekly waste clearance.  *Based on BoE report 2023...
    • so to summarise, "Party X is stating that Council Y is financially inefficient and saving can be realised or efficiencies made, but when the exercise has been completed, it was found that no savings were achievable". I don't know if you are trying to say that has happened or that if it does happen, that is what would happen.
    • I would respectfully and strongly disagree.  they are targeting Southwark in exactly the same way they target other councils and will have exactly the same outcome  you would have to say why Southwark is the outlier here and not reform for it to be a meaningful differentiation
