PeckhamRose
I'm sober, and my prescription drugs do not make me hallucinate, I promise. But just been for a long walk around the exquisitely beautiful Nunhead Cemetery and saw a big cat, looked like a lynx, silver grey with pointy ears, and about 2-3 times the size of a domestic cat.Honestly.Edited to add: having just searched for previous posts on this sort of subject I note that someone saw a big cat in Peckham Rye Park some time ago, and suggestions were it was an ocelot or lynx. The one I saw looked more like a lynx! Brendan
Here's the other thread. So 2 sightings both by people who claim not to have been on LSD at the time. PeckhamRose
Should I write to BBCs BigCatDiary programme? They're on a money saving exercise, the BBC. They can come to Nunhead instead of Africa. But I really am sure of what I saw. AllforNun
I think we should leave them alone, they are definately living there. If the Liberals find out they will have them removed and coralled on Goose Green, they get very jealous about Nunheads wonders ! PeckhamRose
Big enough to attack a threatening human, but he saw me and walked off.I am wondering if I should really have posted this, in case journos are interested and threaten him. He was so beautiful. (Lynx not journo.) PeckhamRose
I hope to attend that day, and will ask other FONC people (Friends of Nunhead Cemetery) if they are aware of it. I keep wondering if I really did see it. I mean, what a crazy thing. But I did. I know I did. Zaardvark
I told my wife about this and she said "Really! And what about the fairies?". My 3 yr old then said "Don't talk to the wolves. There are wolves in the woods, aren't there?"Anyway, given there is quite a history of this (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/4370893.stm) and (this guy used unattributed excerpts from the forum in his report) http://londonist.com/2009/04/the_saturday_strangeness_41.php - I don't think you are (too) mad.BestZ Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/6176-big-non-domestic-cat-maybe-a-lynx-in-nunhead-cemetery/#findComment-198401 Share on other sites
PeckhamRose
I'm not mad at all, and I have been given a certificate release form to prove it.But I now worry about people hunting the poor lynx-or-whatever-it-was down!
