I never knew you played Brendan? what stuff are you into?

I spoke to a guy I use "guitar services of new malden" the guy there is called Malcolm Miles, he does all my guitar setups and he said it could be done but I was hoping for an insurance job, I'll give it to him to sort out.

I've used Andys of Denmark Street in the past, I love that street but it's very expensive. Vintage and Rare is like heaven for me its guitar porn city. They have a great web site www.vintageandrareguitars.com cooler than cool.

Are you sure it can't be played Mike?

I recall Pete Shelley playing a guitar with half a body in The Buzzcocks early days.

Take the title of the thread and compose a Ramones style pop thrash around it.

Edited because I inexplicably called Pete Shelley Steve.

Mike, Charlies makes an excellent point, you big sissy-mary you.

Seasick Steve(in the style of Monty Python's Four Yorkshiremen): "Guitar wi' a bit a damage t' bottom o' body. Eeeeh when I were travellin' boxcars I used to dream of knowin' someone whose cousin's best friend had a guitar wi' a bit a damage t' bottom o' body. Luxury. Bloody EDFers, don't know they're bloody born"

No point really it's the end for that guitar but hey I've still got my strat.

Seasick is playing what is probably a cigar box guitar with a more guitar style body than a cigar box, I could google but if my memory serves me well these instruments were made during the civil war in America from cigar boxes, there is a subculture of players who love these cheaply made guitars in america today but it's a step too primitive for me. The guitar is primative enough without further diminishing my ability to squeeze a tune out of it so I think I'll give it a miss but thanks CC for reminding me of a facinating adaptation of the greatest instrument in the world.

    • Hope all the ‘high streets for people’ events went well! Very short notice probably for people living in the area and on a very hot day!  James McAsh just doesn’t know what to do next with Southwark Council Tax payers money. He advocates the few streets in the area that has a bus service and then shuts the routes down! Very annoying for people who want to go about their daily business and have already had restrictions brought in by McAsh.
    • Thank goodness for Greg. I had an awful situation whereby I was notified that water was leaking from my flat into the flat below me. I was 150 miles away at the time and had a panicked journey home not knowing what I was going to face.   I called Greg (after seeing reviews on the forum) as soon as I arrived home in the evening and he arrived just after 10pm and was able to shut off the problem. He had to come back to finalise the job which turned out to be caused in a communal area whereby there was a blockage in the stack pipe.   Greg worked quickly, efficiently and informed me every step of the way as to what he was doing and why. He also cleaned up really well afterwards.  Greg's charges are very reasonable and he will definitely be my "go-to" if I have any other plumbing issues in the future.
