Jessicas429
Apologies if wrong section.I wondered if anyone could recommend something over the next couple of months? Late birthday present from my mum but am very out of touch with the London theatre scene at the moment. Something not too mainstream but not too fringe as my mum has to travel to and from Essex on the eve. Thanks,Jess Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/63060-theatre-recommendations/ Share on other sites
skylorikeet
You might count it as too mainstream but I can highly recommend High Society at the Old Vic. It's played more like Katherine Hepburn's The Philadelphia Story than the Grace Kelly film. Kate Fleetwood is terrific in it. Personally I would not recommend Light Shining in Buckinghamshire at the National, despite its rave reviews. I found it over-worthy and interminablely long. The Red Lion is very good and Daniel Mays is funny as the dodgy geezer football manager. I think he is one of our most underrated actors. Jessicas429
No that's great. Thank you. I probably meant a musical when I said not too mainstream. Will have a look at those two later. Thanks again. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/63060-theatre-recommendations/#findComment-862074 Share on other sites
