ED Picturehouse. Elitist*. (Louisa's lounged response)

*Bob* in your eternal quest to ridicule me and foxy you've failed miserably on this one.

MY point is this. If an independent like PeckhamPlex can charge ?4.99 in zone 2 London, why the buggery balls can't the BIG chains do the same?

If Ryanair can change ?40 return to fly to Spain, why can't BA do the same?

Jeremy and your point is? Are you suggesting there is some hidden cost such as quality of service, seating etc etc that is compromised by cheaper tickets?

Looking at my example independent smaller chains, they seem to have everything in order and keep prices low to attract large audiences. Nothing is compromised at all.

Because BA doesn't have outside toilets on their aircraft..

Yes they do but not necessary at the right Airport..

Ryanair flight lands at wrong airport

From a height of 33,000ft, the world below can seem a tranquil if confusing place. Gazing down through a veil of cloud, it's not difficult to confuse one main road with another or to mix up two different towns. Apparently, it's also quite easy to mistake one airport for another, even if you're the one flying the plane.

That seems to have been the case when the captain of a Ryanair flight from Liverpool to the City of Derry airport brought his plane down at a military airbase five miles away.

Jeremy the last time I went in that building it was J Sainbury before it relocated to DKH. It can't be that bad surely? What do you expect from a cinema experience?

Foxy that is outrageous. Not that I would personally complain about landing at an airbase with all those young men around me! Very poor standards though. Have you ever flown with Ryanair? I flew with them to Tenerife on a package deal some years ago and wasn't overly impressed, checking the size of my bag and trying to charge me for being over the weight and size limit etc.

HA HA HA

So busted.

I fully support Louisa's campaign to keep low-priced local cinemas alive .. despite not actually using them, thus leading to them closing down and being replaced by higher priced cinemas.

*Bob* just because I don't use them doesn't mean I can't have an opinion about them does it? It's a great resource for people with kids or who are into film, and these big chains surely can't justify these extraordinary prices, when smaller firms are doing it for less?

Louisa.

Jeremy you don't have to be Jonathan Ross to have an opinion about cinemas. For god sakes, this is getting more and more bizarre by the second. Just for the record, I KNOW WHAT A CINEMA IS I HAVE BEEN IN MANY. The last one I went to was in Cromer in fact and again I paid under a fiver for a latest release in a independent pictures!

What sort of experience do people wish to have at a cinema? Are you going to watch a film and be entertained or are you going for a gastromic treat to blow your mind whilst being sat in leather seats studded with diamonds. Jeez.
