I think he has served his time (albeit I am oblivious as to why he was banned, so can't really comment on that).

Any chance of him being allowed back Admin? If he promises to be a good wolf?

I know he was rude on occaision, but I for one found him a great asset to the Fourm - any other BBW forgivers out there?

Seemed like an individual who would not sit on the fence, had individual thoughts and said individual things.

Don't think we need a maverick/loose cannon like that on The Good Ship EDF!

If he agrees to be neutered, totally non-controversial and steers a safe middle ground on all topics then its possible the system might allow him back....

We need to all toe the one-party line here...he's not bland enough for my liking.....

No of course not eh tone just everyone who thinks, speaks and dare I say it LOOKS the same aint that right! ::o How boring that would be!

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

BBW is funny and smart, and generally I'm glad to see him on the forum.

But to suggest that anyone who is 'other than bland' gets banned is nonsense. BBW said a lot of things that offended a lot of people - and I'd guess pretty deliberately - so what is Admin supposed to do, just ignore those people that complained?

Haven't a clue why he was given the Spanish archer so can't comment on it.

A time-limited ban with a promise to straighten up and fly right and no crossing fingers would seem reasonable enough.

There seems to be a fair bit of leeway on the forum and Admin usually ban from a specific thread if the silly b*ggers being played get a little too silly, so I'm assuming that BBW had a specific complaint or complaints made about him from individuals that he offended.

I'd like to see him back, I enjoy most of his posts.

KK: Its time you accepted the harsh reality of these dictatorial times with good grace.

Look at the benefits of having your every move covered by millions of CCTV Cameras, your every word scanned and approved by the relevant Authorities. There are now zillions of people out there studying your every gesture, every text, every E-Mail and they have YOUR interests at heart. Its not as if its a self-perpetuating Industry, is it.

These people believe zealously in what they are seeing, saying and doing and I,for one, applaud them.

There is no room in Society and most certainly NOT on the EDF for the likes of BBW who can downright cheeky and funny at times, no place at all.

The system MUST always come first for now and in the future and anyone who does not succumb willingly, you should be forced to.

The Orwellian vision is right here, right now.

Accept and Cherish it.

God Bless The Authorities.

p.s You ARE right on the looks though, as I was saying this morning to my friend who visited me, who originally came from Freetown, Sierra Leone. Indeed I shall re-iterate the necessity for us all to look similar to my Jamaican Ladyfriend later when she deigns to wake up and re-join the World.

    • There was an excellent discussion on Newscast last night between the BBC Political Editor, the director of the IFS and the director of More In Common - all highly intelligent people with no party political agenda and far more across their briefs than any minister I've seen in years. The consensus was that Labour are so unpopular and untrusted by the electorate already, as are the Conservatives, that breaking the manifesto pledge on income tax wouldn't drive their approval ratings any lower, so they should, and I quote, 'Roll The Dice', hope for the best and see where we are in a couple of years time. As a strategy, i don't know whether I find that quite worrying or just an honest appraisal of what most governments actually do in practice.
    • They are a third of the way through their term Earl. It's no good blaming other people anymore. They only have three years left to fix what is now their own mess. And its not just lies in the manifesto. There were lies at the last budget too, when they said that was it, they weren't coming back for more tax and more borrowing. They'd already blamed the increase in NIC taxes on what they claimed was a thorough investigation. They either knew everything then or they lied about that too .   They need to stop lying and start behaving. If they don't the next government won't be theirs, it will be led by Nigel Farage.  They have to turn it round rapidly. Blaming other people, telling lies and breaking promises isn't going to cut it any more.
    • Is it lame? Or is it Lamey? (sorry)
