Anyone been to San Sebastian with kids?

Just wondering what there is to do there that the kids (8 and 4) will be into and if anyone has a recommendation for a good hotel/B&B?

stayed in the campsite jsut outside of town - which was v nice

Really lovely for kids:

nice beaches - 1 more rough and surfy another more gentle

lovely little museum kind of thing on the harbour - def worth a look

nice walk up to the statue thing - not too far satisfying views

winkles with pins in paper cones on the seafront

buffet madness with the pinxtos - very good fun indeed

We didn't go but there's a funfair on Mont Igueldo and also an aquarium.

Can be a bit rainy ...

We stayed in August once and they had the most amazing fireworks displays every night around the bay. It is an annual competition where international pyrotechnicians (if that's the word) compete for a prize.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like it's a good kiddie destination. Now got to find accommodation...think we've left it a bit late!
