Refurb of the Castle on Crystal Palace Road

I have never drunk in the Castle - but I certainly do agree that there should be something for everyone. There are people who prefer the gastro pub, those who want a child friendly place, those who like cocktails and those who want to watch sport. Surely we are all capable of accepting that in a diverse area like ED there should be a diverse selection of places to relax and have a drink. Why should anyone (even if taking the p*ss) think that everything should cater for their tastes?

Indeed Cassius, they should not paint the castle, or spruce it up in any way. All of the lovely Paddy builders and local artesan types need somewhere to go for a drink after a hard days work. I would rather they had somewhere separate to relax, where they are not worried about spoiling the lovely seats. I hate to see these untidy sorts in Black Cherry.
