What excuse have you used to skive of work.

Foolishly I asked my wife to phone up work and tell them I was sick when I wasnt, so she phoned the line manager and said "He's not coming into work today because he's a lazy bastard".

That incident coincided with the bog flushing escapade the night before.

What excuse have you used in the past, and would you trust someone else to lie for you.

Most sickies are artificial, anyway.

During the 5 Day Week the breakdown of sick days, in my experience, is as follows:

Monday: 31%

Tuesday:16%

Wednesday:14%

Thursday:13%

Friday: 27%

First Prize goes to...

The propensity is for a positive plethora of pains on a Monday or Friday.

Mikecg, I will try being nicer if you try being more intelligent.

This forum is being spoiled by vacuous school boy bantor. It feels like hearing a group of aggressive twelve year olds talking too loud on the upstairs of the bus. Really now. Don't believe we want to hear everything you think or find some other place to humiliate yourself.

You see DM this is where I think you have gone too far, how dare you try to dictate to anybody about their intelligence and the quality of theyre posts or what ever. is the forum now an exclusive club to alianate people who have a different idea about what humour is than you.

I dont care for what you say, your credibility is worthless, you are a bully and a hack who happens to write a blog that is tired weak and without doubt tediously unfunny.

You dont own the forum DM although you have been aggrovating it since it inception.

Sarcasm was just one of the services we once offered on this forum. Reading that - is that rebuttle? OHMYGOD. I don't know what your problem is but I bet it is hard to pronounce. Have you considered Omega 3 fish oils?

    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. A donation of £30 will pay for a hamper to feed someone living on their own over the Christmas period.
    • I've never got Christmas pudding. The only times I've managed to make it vaguely acceptable to people is thus: Buy a really tiny one when it's remaindered in Tesco's. They confound carbon dating, so the yellow labelled stuff at 75% off on Boxing Day will keep you going for years. Chop it up and soak it in Stones Ginger Wine and left over Scotch. Mix it in with a decent vanilla ice cream. It's like a festive Rum 'n' Raisin. Or: Stick a couple in a demijohn of Aldi vodka and serve it to guests, accompanied by 'The Party's Over' by Johnny Mathis when people simply won't leave your flat.
    • Not miserable at all! I feel the same and also want to complain to the council but not sure who or where best to aim it at? I have flagged it with our local MP and one Southwark councillor previously but only verbally when discussing other things and didn’t get anywhere other than them agreeing it was very frustrating etc. but would love to do something on paper. I think they’ve been pretty much every night for the last couple of weeks and my cat is hating it! As am I !
    • That is also a Young's pub, like The Cherry Tree. However fantastic the menu looks, you might want to ask exactly who will cook the food on the day, and how. Also, if  there is Christmas pudding on the menu, you might want to ask how that will be cooked, and whether it will look and/or taste anything like the Christmas puddings you have had in the past.
