Posting about getting thrown out of a political meeting in the Tiny Little Things thread has just reminded me that I once threw a buttered scone at the mayor's car. It bounced off the bonnet leaving a highly satisfactory butter smear all across the front, after which I scarpered, promptly.

Any advances on scone-based insurrection?

When I was about 14 me and my mate put tights over our heads and under the cover of darkness went and took down a huge vote labour poster thing opposite our house but my mum caught us and made us put it back even though she always said she wanted to throw paint on it.

They never said a word to me but about a week later in the same pub I got slapped standing at the bar for no apparent reason. I put it down to Da Managment.

When I was very much younger I used to delight in switching the politcal party boards outside homes on my estate, Tories would wake up to to see themselves proclaiming their support for the Labour party, etc. I graduated from this to dousing the boards with lighter fluid and setting them alight.

And to my amusement, just last week under the cover of darkness and cider I defaced a large UKIP billboard at the end of my road by spray painting the words "You should be ashamed of yourselves". It lasted a day before being replaced.

I am not naturally a revolutionary, but I do object to UKIP hoardings outside my home.

With two friends in support I shinned up a flagpole in N. Wales and removed the Welsh Flag flying there as a response to some nationalistic baiting of the three of us by some Welsh earlier that night in a pub. (They objected to one Englishman and two Scotsmen climbing "their" mountains).

The flag remain in the possession of one of my friends.

I wouldn't call it revolutionary but it was in response to Concorde being pulled from service and I was very angry regardless of the reasons/disaster and I sent a very long letter to Bae systems demanding an explanation. I also added a sachet of itching powder. Childish I know but at the time I thought otherwise.

    • Hello, I’ve got a 1980’s  one if you’re interested it works fine a bit old school
    • Another recommendation for Greg.  He provided excellent service - fast response, quote and then fitting the job in.  The inbuilt wardrobes he made are of a very high quality and he was a pleasure to work with.  Helped us with some additional shelving and a broken floorboard too.  Highly recommend!
    • I would also like to recommend Andy for plumbing. I had a leak under my kitchen tap and he was able to visit and resolve the issue in the same day. Prompt and efficient service and very professional.
    • It's about ensuring it's the medical facilities you are accessing, hence the sign-in actually in Tessa Jowell. And I think there are visual as well as camera checks, after all a number of people drive in and out of the car park to drop patients off. Clearly they are not parked up, so it's not relevant if they are fleetingly on camera. It's only those actually parked who need to identify themselves as patients.
