here is the link to the online petition, worth signing especially as it's about time the mindset of the London and Central Government needs changing in relation to their treatment of major projects and infrastructure in South London. Pressure is the only way.

I don't know the geography of the area that well but as I recollect from visiting Millwall FC as an away fan there's a station ten minutes walk away isn't there?

My route to it last time after being kept in the ground for an hour after the game was over was lined with broken glass, half bricks and police officers but that's a different story I suspect.

South Bermondsey Station, with steps up to it from Ilderton Road, a few minutes walk away from Millwall football ground.

Yeah, get off at either south Bermondsey or New Cross and walk you lazy gits! You're going to be sitting down for a couple of hours after all so the exercise will do you good.

    • Thanks. I'll call them shortly as I could get there without the car.
    • One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
    • There's a food bank off Dog Kennel Hill. Albrighton Community Fridge. https://www.albrightoncommunityfridge.org/ I'm sure they would welcome them, but maybe check first, as they don't actually mention fresh fruit on their website? But apples aren't that perishable. Drop off seven days a week 9 - 5. Be warned if you are going by car, parking can be very difficult, easiest if there are two of you so one person can take the food in while the other can move the car if necessary.
    • Food banks for sure and what about approaching these schools in area that run summer camps - although having said that with health and safety being so strict might not allow it - crazy really.    Can’t remember name of church but was one in Peckham that from memory did a community meal a couple of times a week. Now they for sure would take them and probably Kingswood House as well.
