...is the amount I've spent on Deliveroo - mainly on Gowlett Pizzas - since it started in May. That's bad.

Also (Fox take note) I've found the most expensive takeaway on the lane - 3 small dishes from Yama Momo came to ?35. BUT the food we chose was really excellent....

Franklins have started Franklins Wood Fired chickens on Deliveroo - delivering cooked chickens to your door.

Burger Bear - delivered Sat to Tuesday only I think...but excellent - try the angry fries. Chips never deliver well but I still love them.

Other good things about Deliveroo - you can order chips from Sea Cow (now decent again IMO), a pizza from the Gowlett and a salad from Yama Momo and despite getting charged a bit extra it will often all come at once, hot and within 30-40 mins or so.

Deliveroo is a great idea, but it can work out expensive! I did enjoy the BurgerBear burgers, but with the Deliveroo charge and a small tip, you're probably going to spend around ?30 for two people (and the "large" fries were far too small).

Still, it's nice to have a few options other than curry/pizza.

So the charging is basically:

?2.50 Deliveroo charge plus driver tip ?1-?2

For orders under ?15 there is an additional ?2 surcharge. So not good for solo dining but for two people upwards it's only ?2.50 or so more expensive in most cases....a small price to pay to avoid Speedy Pizzas or Magic Wok.

    • John recently skimmed the walls in our front room lounge, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the result. From start to finish, he was professional, punctual, and easy to work with.   He arrived on time each day and kept me updated on progress, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The quality of his plastering is smooth, even, and ready to paint with minimal prep. He takes real pride in his work.   John was also very tidy, laying down protective sheets and cleaning up thoroughly after the job was done. It’s clear he respects his clients’ homes, which I really appreciated.   On top of that, he’s friendly, approachable, and trustworthy someone you feel comfortable having in your home. His pricing was fair and transparent, with no unexpected costs.   Highly recommended if you're looking for a skilled and reliable plasterer. I’ll definitely be using him again for any future work.
    • You what???   Think you Should have gone to woodfalls 😁
    • Your second point contradicts your first (and previous post)
    • I'm guessing they're busy. I found out just now that the SNT has tracked down the kids who attacked my dog, had strong words with their parents, and the gang has now broken up. I got a lot of detail, which I won't go into here, but it sounds as if they were also quite compassionate towards some of the kids, some of whom may not have had the easiest of lives.  I know that those kids had nothing to do with the attack of the man in August and that they are also aware of the fireworks problem. Sounds like good community policing.
