The two main Goose Green fairs have come and gone for the summmer

The 2 biggies in the area I am next looking forward to are the Lambeth Country Fair which is mid July

in Brockwell Park

and the Jerk festival in Horniman Gardens at the beginning of August

(advice: get there early if you want food at the Horniman)

You are missing out the very enjoyable Goose Green Primary School Carnival festival. This year is it is on Saturday 11 July, midday start, Carnival procession arrives 1pm. Further inforamtion: email [email protected] or call Dagmar (020 7732 3493).

A Council arranged dog event is also planned for Satruday 22 August.

Thanks Eileen. We have indeed a lot of stalls selling interesting arts and crafts ranging from mexican jewellery to children parties via adult and child clothing. The Gowlett Arms is providing the beer tent and there will be a variety of hot food as well as a cake stall and coffee van. And above all, the childrens activities with the Goose Green year 6 kids providing lots of kids activities, a stage with song and dance performances and a wide range of information stalls and other activities. We really look forward to our school's fair this year, and hope that lots of local residents - with or without kids - are going to join us.

BTW, St John's and St Clement's school's fair is on the same day, so we're hoping to have a bit of a community party thing going around the Green.

Cheers, and hope to see you there, Dagmar

    • I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with Yousef and his team for my recent house move in East Dulwich. Downsizing and relocating  my stuff from a house to a flat was made a calm and pleasant experience. The move included large and heavy items of furniture, taking items apart and reassembling in the new place, as well as loads of boxes. Nothing was too much trouble. I can thoroughly recommend this service, you will not be disappointed!
