What went wrong quids? Did you really lay rip van winkle?or was it something else? I just don't see the fun in laying the whole fun for me is to get the odd decent win now and again which puts everything right.as you said to me once 10 profitable laid bets can all go in one losing lay. However in a big handicap that is probably a good time to lay most of the field. As a backer I find big handicaps are the ones to avoid.anyone know when Rip is running next I want to chase the dragon.

Tempted by Chelski @ 11/5 to win the Premiership, even though I'm a diehard Utd fan, to win the league 4 years running is a big ask, physically and emotionally it must catch up with the players, I thought some of them just didn't turn up in the Champs League final. Liverpool flattered last season and Alonso will be hard to replace, Arsenal have too much ground to make up and are selling their best players, and Citeh will need time for all the new players to bed in.


EW bets for other divisions - QPR @ 18's, MK @ 10's and obviously Notts C @ 5's...

I think MM returns to Blighty today but I'm off on my hols tomorrow with no internet so won't be participating in the US open; licking my wounds on the nags; preparing my football bets.


In the meantime sitting on a few long terms looking ok for trading- Pompey down and Aussies for the Ashes.

      Well thanks for enriching the conversation.  Would you chuck Fah - rage in too for his tax avoidance on his property?   I expect it was lead story on Jeremy Vine too.  Doesn't make it a story, just a bit more of BBC tabloid style sensationalism.  There are numerous real news stories in the UK and across the world.  And now, apt for Halloween, you have summoned up the ghost of Louisa.
