......to the gentleman who was standing in front of me in the sainsbury's queue this evening at around 6.45pm. You left your card at the checkout but had already left before we could call you back!! You left via the starbucks exit and i think you were wearing a blue sweatshirt and jeans??

Can't you just inform the credit card company? There's probably a phone number on the back of the card.

It's fairly unlikely he reads the forum and he's probably already reported the card missing.

Edited to say: Will be a hassle for him if he has to wait to get a new card because he reports his lost or stolen

I did the same thing. I panicked next day when I needed it! I went back to Sainsbugs they have loads of them in a drawer. A few questions and we were reunited for our next little spree together!

The guy probably realised where he lost it and went back to Sainsburys and all could be well ..

I also did the same thing, and went back the next day, and was astonished at the big bundle of cards they had. Found mine easily after answering a few questions.
