I used to live in Ladywell. I was back over there this afternoon to sit around drinking coffee in the locale's only coffee shop. A local acquaintance then came bounding in, breathless, to announce that there had been a shooting by Ladywell station. Police were "swarming" and roads were closed. He was extremely, extremely excited and looked livelier than I'd seen him in years. So I presume it wasn't actually him that got shot. He was so worked up and excited that he was unable to explain to me precisely what had happened and whether it was a murder. Aren't shootings a regular occurence in south-east London?

Oh dear Dreads...I'm afraid that's only the tip of a very murky iceberg.

Last week a butcher was raided on Rye lane and Police discovered a Leper colony under the floorboards.

Target Arms on Lordship lane has been investigated after claims that it has been run by a former Serbian warlord who's wanted for questioning by the Hague.

101 Dalmations were found dead and had been skinned. Police have failed so far in their efforts to bring a local PR mogal who alledgedly lives on Alleyns road to justice following claims that half the MET are in her handbag.

There was a ferocious gun battle at the JAGS sports club after a member of staff rolled her eye's one too many times.

Oh and some geezer wearing an out of the ordinary track suit was seen walking with a suspicious limp and whistling a tune that may or may not have been a code to bypass burglar alarms.

Has anyone ever been inside target Arms??? Seriously, how have they stayed afloat during the credit crunch???

They're regular LGWD but not yet frequent enough for us to become consumed with ennui and take to our fainting couches, all the while dispatching the help for supplies of laudanum as a diversion.

I for one have not done that several weeks.

And I'm sure I'm not alone.

    • We would like your views on proposals to expand the Superloop network with new route SL15 between Clapham Junction and Eltham in south London. By clicking on each of the buttons below, you can read more about what is proposed and how this may impact you. You can also view maps, ask questions, give feedback, and find out about other ways to get in touch and take part. You have until Sunday 30 November 2025 to give us your feedback. Proposals The SL15 would run between Clapham Junction and Eltham stations, via Tulse Hill and Catford, and would primarily follow the A205 South Circular Road. The following map shows proposed new route SL15 in its entirety. Also see the 'Proposed timings and bus stops' section below. The SL15 would operate as an express bus service. It would serve a limited number of key bus stops, including eight rail interchanges, local town centres and other busy locations along its proposed route. As part of the Superloop family the SL15 service would be frequent, simple, inclusive and reliable. At Clapham Junction, the route would start and end at Falcon Road. In Eltham, it would start and end at Eltham Station after serving the High Street.   https://ehq-production-europe.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/ce32459998ce01d44ce27d1f23c543bd84338c82/original/1759936980/3bc1b1bf3ec42ce77542fa4ddd82c87a_sl15-bus-stop-list.pdf?X-Amz-Algorithm=AWS4-HMAC-SHA256&X-Amz-Credential=AKIA4KKNQAKIJHZMYNPA%2F20251020%2Feu-west-1%2Fs3%2Faws4_request&X-Amz-Date=20251020T144535Z&X-Amz-Expires=300&X-Amz-SignedHeaders=host&X-Amz-Signature=14b917ef1198ddc641578b5a6648b00842f4e1d51aceadb3f4e1c928d0688b12 https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/sl15-superloop

    • We’ve currently got the Three 5g WiFi router but it’s been consistently pretty bad for the last year, so we are looking to move to another provider. Does anyone have any recommendations for good WiFi in East Dulwich?    Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!
