Sorry, I was a little vague in the start of my thread. Yes Townleygreen, why another express store? Too right, many regular items are indeed marked up relative to their larger stores. I'm sure it won't be long till we see a couple of Sainsbury Locals sprouting their ugly heads nearby.

p.s. I agree their 'fresh' bread is utter s@!t, ayres is just around the corner, and they do fab bread

I recall a big Tesco somewhere near where the Post Office is now at the south end of Rye Lane. Maybe it closed in the 80s? Just shows how things go in circles.

I heard it was opening in the unit where Foxtons was. Oh, it's not closed yet.

Shurely shome mishtake, I read on here nearly a year ago that it was closing!?

Someone on here has time to phone the council daily to check what new planning apps there are, maybe they can shed some light on it.

Thank you. I was getting a bit worried that it wasn't going to open and that I'd moved to Dulwich from Kew for no reason!

    • Hi there!   We are looking into getting a side return and loft dormer. I wondered if anyone had any experience of working with Resi or GoPlans? We'd be keen for there to be an element of interesting architectural design, however can't afford a traditional architect. We wondered if Resi might have the edge over GoPlans on this due to the size of the company and the amount of architectural designers they have working for them.    We'd love to know any thoughts you had about these companies or similar!   Thanks!   Julia
    • I’d like to recommend local plumber - James at Trelco Plumbing. I’ve used them twice now, for a kitchen tap replacement and a boiler repair. Both times they were able to attend at short notice, arrived on time and we are very happy with the work they have done. James is polite, responsive and easy to deal with. • Deptford Green and Elm Green anecdotally have a more realistic and compassionate to kids differing needs. Whether that is still the case i'm not sure. Having 3 boys at Charter i would seriously consider a boys school if you have them, Charter East really aren't geared up for the different educational needs of some boys and the challenging behaviour this frustration leads to. I have heard amazing things about St Thomas the Apostle boys school.
