Interior Paint

It all depends on the level of service and finish you require.

Gold service: your decorator will arrive in a minivan at 8am. Expect smarter overalls, possibly with the name of the decorating company printed on the front. Outlandish access equipment will sometimes replace simple ladders. Brushes and trays are often binned at the end of each day seeing as you?re paying for them. Expect to be told that this job will be better than the cheaper quote you dismissed (which it will) a few times a day (but remember - to get full value you must also recite this mantra to anyone else who sees the rooms in question in the years that follow).

Bronze service: your decorator will arrive in an old Volvo estate at shortly after breakfast around the corner, or 10am - whichever comes sooner. Expect the occasional stray bristle stuck to the wall and the general permeation of tobacco smoke (a bonus for enthusiastic passive smokers). Quality in places may vary: the general rule - don?t look too hard and you won?t be disappointed. You may need to put the blinds back the right way up after they?ve gone.

For bronze - allow ?400-?500 for a large room (ceilings, walls, woodwork, rads) assuming you?re purchasing the paint (Leland colourmatched to Farrow & Ball). It'll look fine.

For Gold - you?re looking at double that plus possibly the VAT if you get unlucky. Supply Farrow and Ball proper because the depth of colour is definitely worth the extra, or something. It'll look fine.

The choice is yours..

Good luck!

    • Sue My point being that if you experience something that could potentially be sorted by a GP, you might feel it necessary to go to A&E, which would be clogged up due to the doctors strike.  Just my opinion, but I don't really see that its necessary to close a surgery for half a day for staff training.
    • A huge shout-out to Andy! He’s helped us several times now and is an absolute gem. He doesn't just do the easy jobs; he finds solutions to the difficult, non-obvious problems that others might miss. He is very hard working, incredibly friendly, great with pets, and always leaves the place better than he found it. 10/10!
    • Here to add my voice to those praising Temi. She just painted my dilapidated home office in ED and did a fantastic job in just two days in a much lighter colour, including woodwork, damp blocker and filling holes. She's efficient, on time and I barely heard a peep out of her; she just got on with the job. I recommend her wholeheartedly.
