Ted Max
Those are some great boots on the dude on the left. With grey jodpurs, double-breasted greatcoat with sepia trim. And the pose - just screams fashion.Get him on here. Ted Max
I wouldn't be surprised if he's responsible for the muted palette on the table, wall and window frames, as well. That faded pink with the green - come on, this guy's got the eye, man. Ted Max
I mean, take your average Taverna, right? Whitewash + blue gloss paint everywhere. Just washes you out completely. I wouldn't be surprised if his buddy with his back to us isn't lifting that whole charcoal-to-grey combo with a fierce, blood-red stripe on his tie, with matching links and pocket square. KalamityKel
Where as the one at the table looks like he's taking a nap... hmmm That game is nothing like the ED sessions... you snooze you loose! Ted Max
You say that, but if he's not matching those shoulder patches to some brown suede loafers, I'd be amazed. These dudes have got it going on. The buff guy in the black suit - look again - subtle pinstripe, trousers tucked into long leg-warmer grey socks that match that textured grey shirt. Big call on the tan shoes and hat but I think it's all working. Peckhamgatecrasher
Ted, I think you'll find the one on the left is merely left over from the retreat from Salonika. Mention Simon Wiesenthal if you want to put him off his game. Ted Max
Oh no. Don't put me in dunce's corner with Bryan Ferry. I bet this guy was a genial partisan - the nice kind. I'm also doubling that bet with one that says CharlieCharlie is stuck on the Sartorialist website, printing off image after image for her moodboards. charliecharlie
ps the guy with the grey boots is on the phone reporting in to Sartorial, for the 'hot tips on style from Paxos' article, the card table is also one of his hunting grounds for spotting emerging street fashion trendsyou will n note that next seasons key item will be buttomshttp://www.slv.vic.gov.au/cphotography/0/0/1/im/cp001122.jpgedited cos not got mi glasses on! Ted Max
I'm not normally a fan of the ostentatious watch show, but will forgive the gentleman for the pen in the shirt front - clearly an ironic nod to the tie-pin. I would hazard a guess, too, that the pen's colour matches the thread detail in the buttons, lifting the ensemble from merely "cool card sharp" to genuinely great. This is a look for Alistair Darling I feel. Peckhamgatecrasher
I think Sean could sport the sideboards. Who's brave enough to suggest it? charliecharlie
And the grizzled asymetrical hair line is sooooo this summer, perhaps a stylish addition to the new Dandyism look that we are seeing on the runways both here and in Milan... Ear extensions are also back, as part of the 'retro gambler' look....I am sure Sean could pull it off.Absolutely agree about the button thread concept, Ted Max... it's all in the detail after all...
