Adventure bar - not been yet - good for a night out?

I've just moved here and have some mates coming over for a sat eve. I want to show off ED and give them a good night - is adventure any good?

It really depends what you're looking for. It's not really my sort of place... a bit too "young"... a bit too "smart shoes and hair gel".

the bar staff are certainly nice and friendly, but there's very little in the way of atmosphere. Been twice now in the last month. Won't be rushing to go again.

if you like the sort of Adventures you get in Dagenham (without the violence)you'll love it.

If flock wallpaper, Coldplay on the stereo and a ?3.80 pint of Staropramen are your thing, you'll hate it.

Thanks for your posts guys - have to admit i'm none the wiser... What put me off was the bouncer outside on a thursday evening - does a thursday night in ED really warrant a bouncer?!

Might give it a go after LL pub crawl tho and play it safe when my friends come down and go somewhere i've been (I had to beg to get them to come anyway as they are highly suspicious of anywhere not on a tube line...)

I think you'll find they have to have a bouncer to keep their after midnight licence. If you're not too old to have fun, I still contest this is a good place for a late night drink or two. Still prefer Liquorish, but they need to get their act together on staying open late!
