  1. An article written by a tosser, describing an area that is inhabited by tossers, that is now being discussed by a bunch of tossers!
  2. Its obvious what she's up to! Did she not say 'thankyou' to the guy at the time? Good luck Louisa, may the gods of love be smiling on you. :))
  3. You wouldn't by any chance fancy this gentlman and be trying to get hold of him?
  4. Fair point, I for one never go to the supermarket to buy a few beers, I much prefer calling my dodgy 'mate' and then waiting round on a street corner for 20 mins - 1 hr to buy a knocked off four pack of stella. Much more convenient.
  5. if the government would see sense and legalize the things, taking the milti-million pound drugs trade out of the hands of criminals into their control and regulation, this kind of behaviour would not be necessary. I would say that in the majority of these cases it was nothing more dangerous than a ?20 bag of weed being passed.
  6. I'd love to see somebody turn up at the vets with a dead cat in a bin bag. Vet gets out his stethosope (right spelling? don't care), "yeh, its dead, that'll be ?30 please." I've actually had to dispose of a few dead cats in my time. Ended up slinging them in some bushes by the railway line near my house.
  7. Your best bet is to buy a couple of 20 packs of fags and give 'em one each of them it they come round. The appreciate those much more than some poxy sweets.
  8. Very concerning, this area is in decline for sure. Now it isn't even safe to open your door at night.
  9. Yet more crime in East Dulwich, what is this place coming to? It's been like the Bronx of late round here.
  10. I was not implying that people in ED hate mancs, far from it, they all support man u... It's just that there are people in ED who would like to lynch me personally due to my 'controversial' stance on various local issues.
  11. No Worries, regarding the football, I can whole-heartedly recomment the Crystal Palace Tavern. The back room has a classic old-school pub feel, nice big screen and generally not too many people to block your view / nick all your seats. Nice pint of Spitfire as well. I can generally be found there whenever my beloved Man Utd are playing, however not wearing an 'Eater81' t-shirt for fear of being lynched by the East Dulwich Massive.... perhaps I should get a Man U shirt made with: EATER 81 on the back!
  12. All I can say is "Taxi for Tonyotonyo"! If the black cab drivers now no longer have a problem coming to East Dulwich, he/ she should have no problem finding one!
  13. Tonyotonyo, wherefor art you tonyo? The word monolithic has many meanings depending on the context it is used. I suggest you look it up in the dictionary and then delete your last post.
  14. No amount of tinkering will improve ll for traffic and pedestrians, there are just too many vehicles competing to achieve their aims and it will always be an ordeal trying to get anywhere. Barry road and lordship lane are too far apart to make a counter parallel one way sysrem a viable option.
  15. Do you realise how much of a bunch of tossers you all sound? 'Style and chic', 'channel four documentaries'!!?? The original poster has moved to overhill road. Correct me if i am wrong but does'nt it have a couple of 'chic and stylish' tower blocks at the top end? We 're talking about a middle of the road, monolithic south london suburb for christ's sake! Lordship lane is more likely to be featured on booze britain the way things seem to be going. Great transport links?! Well forest hill station isn't even in east dulwich. Its a good 20 mins to get there once uve faffed around waiting for a bus from lordship lane. Spending 40 mins on a bus to travel all of 6 miles to covent garden is my idea of hell. Apart from london bridge there is nowhere decent you can get to in less than half an hour, for an area that is barely 5 miles from the city centre that is piss poor.
  16. A couple of grand in the top pocket of the local education officer should get you into the school of your choice, such practices probably explain the 'bizzare' results described above. My personal choice would be to buy a cheaper house elsewhere and send em to a decent private school, where an acceptable standard of education is more likely to be achieved.
  17. Compared to brixton and peckham, yes, but that is not saying much. Cheers for pointing out my poor spelling, i guess it further marks me out as ignorant and uncultured for not being part of the east dulwich dream world no?
  18. Mr barber, i fully respect councillors like yourself who do their job for the good of the local community however you should know more than anyone that bribery and corruption are rife in the planning world, particularly with 100 million pound plus sites such as hhvd. This, combined with a conservative government and the general incompetence that characterises our great nation's planning departments means that citygrove will most likely have their wicked way and this unique, historic facility will be lost for ever.
  19. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. East dulwich is a crime ridden, densely populated shithole, with dreadful transport links, surrounded by some of europe's most deprived sink estates. In its favour it does have a few half decent bars and restaurants, as well as a few twee junk shops, which seem to be enough to keep its simple minded residents happy at weekends.
  20. Conclusions: -smoking is a dirty habit. -throwing fag buts on the floor is bad, but there are worst crimes. -London, like any big city has a lot of people throwing litter, that is why it has nightly mechanical street sweepers to mitigate the problem. -the original poster needs to put their time to better use. THREAD CLOSED.
  21. There are probably a million fag buts dropped in london each day, agreed, it is not a nice thing to see, but there are better ways to discuss it than naming and shaming the employees of a few local businesses. In doing so you come across as a rather sad individual in need of something constructive to do with their lives. And yes you have singled out this male employee of keatings, no two ways about it.
  22. Ok, whatever, but u have to admit that reading your post, it does sound like you have a less than healthy obsession with these smokers no? You single out 'one particular male employee' at keatings estate agent's for example, the guy must surely be a heavy chain smoker for you to have noticed him dropping so many butts whilst merely 'passing by' on your daily business.
  23. The curtain twitching, busybody original poster needs to get out more instead of spending their time spying on the poor employees of these businesses. I can just imagine them hiding behind a tree, notebook in hand. If the buts are picked up by the sweeper machines, so what? No real harm done. Ed is not some quaint surrey village, it is a comparitively nice but still densely populated inner city area surrounded by urban ghettos, where like it or not litter and general filth are par for the course.
  24. All it effectively is is a big slab of concrete, how can that be difficult to maintain? Id imagine some scum property developer has their greedy eye on it, probably with a few local councillors in their pocket.
  25. And another, some poor guy had his car stolen this morning. location: ED Sainsbury's, 10am this morning. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,524265
