Oh FFS.

Lots of humour is quite black.

People have different senses of humour.

I found red devil's picture very funny. I find some of the "jokes" posted in the joke thread on here quite offensive.

Each to their own, eh?

I sincerely hope that when I snuff it (which if people on here think 72 is a good innings then I haven't got long to go, grammar) I won't get a load of friends and relatives afraid to make jokes about it. Though of course I hope they'd have a bit of a cry too :))

Well, makes sense, maggots also try and wiggle their way out of difficult situations...

Yes

If you can't beat death at least you can laugh at it.

and I don't think Aaron Ramsey scored recently.

Sorry - I missed have missed the memo that appointed you the grief police and gave you the right to judge what people are allowed to feel sad about.

I believe in things called "freedom of thought" and "freedom of speech". You may be familiar with the concepts.

So yes Jimmy Kimmel is perfectly free to cry about a lion, or anything else. And I'm free to ridicule it. And you're free to say daft things.

Death is whatever you want it to be. Shouldn't be any limits on how one persons death is a celebration, another's a deeply sad and traumatic event. Each to their own. But when you are not in any way interested in said person, and are purely posting to mock the circumstances surrounding the media response to said death, that's pointless is it not? We still do not know the outcome to the autopsy on Cilla, maybe it wasn't just old age, maybe a tragic accident? Who knows? But until then at least give the poor family and friends a chance to deal with the grief without all the pointless little attempts at humour! There are lots of people I have not particularly liked, I didn't celebrate their death by going on social media criticising the response of others to their death. It's called having a little dignity and respect. Couldn't you give it a month before you start the whole obituary slating and such like. Some of this stuff is no better than the drivel Katie Hopkins dishes out over Twitter (and for the record I actually quite like her too!).

Keep wiggling away Lou...

It's true. Should any of Cilla's relatives somehow manage not to see the banks of national newspapers out today each with a seven page spread speculating as to the cause of her death - AND simultaneously fall onto a keyboard and by huge fluke input the words 'Cilla Black East Dulwich Forum' and hit 'enter' - they would be horrified to discover you comparing her hair colour to that of Cecil the Lion - and it would be as if poor Cilla had died all over again.

We can only hope that this most unfortunate set of circumstances do not occur.

*Bob* are you some behind the scenes expert on this forum? How on earth do you know whether one of her many close friends or relatives isn't looking on this forum as we type? And how they be offended by certain comments? That's all I'm pointing out. My comment was, as explained previously, an observation at the poor editing of the picture where Cecil's mane overlaps Cilla's ginger mo of hair. It was not an intentional dig at her nor Cecil. For goodness sakes I shouldn't even be having to explain myself.

    • I’ve tried to find details of surgeries being held before but not found any. The section of the Southwark website that details councillors’ surgeries says that: Your locally elected Councillors will be holding a roving surgery programme in the Dulwich Hill area to enable residents to raise any local issues. Residents will be notified by letter in advance of the date, time and specific streets/roads where the surgery will take place.  Surgeries are not held in August, on Bank Holidays, Easter or in Christmas Week.  Dulwich Hill Ward Councillors I’ve never seen any notification of surgeries being held, including on the DH councillors’ social media accounts. I don’t know if any other residents of Dulwich Hill have? Neighbouring wards all seem to have times and places posted for surgeries.
    • I wouldn't feel too bad about that. It's one of the few degree areas that you can do a BA or a BSc in, so it's a fairly wide-ranging and complex subject. Certainly Truss, Kwasi and Reeves seem to struggle with it.
    • I can't access the article - what's the gist?  I took the markets getting jittery when she was crying at PMQs to be a sign that they trusted her. But maybe it was because they were simply worried about any form of instability.  The NIC hikes have stymied the economy, which we could all see a mile off. Will a wealth tax improve things? Does anyone here think the trickle down has any impact and that chasing out the super rich will help things? Or are we just seeing off the biggest contributors to the economy? And has the Kwasi approach ever worked anywhere else?  Economics is not my strong point at all, I'd love to know others' opinions, but it seems to be she has few options, especially as the party is so divided.
    • does either of them have a surgery? probably not over summer, but I thought they had to give the opportunity for their constituents to meet them.
