So are we counting one lap of Dulwich Park as round the concrete track, or the running track round the outside? :-S

if you go on www.walkjogrun.co.uk one lap of the park on the inside track comes in at app 1 mile.

The start anf finish for a mile are painted on the ground, over to the side by the South Circular. One lap and about 150yds is a mile. Will check tonight on way to running club.

erm - don't you mean the sand bridleway around the inside?

I think katie tatie may mean the small path that goes round the perimeter of the park with tree roots and muddy bits etc.

Did it on bikes with a computer recently and it measured about 1.5 miles round if memory serves me.

OK, if you go into th park by the entrance by the gallery, and go right when you hit the circular roadway, keep going past the tennis courts and on the outside of that road you'll see a 1600m marker painted on the road. As a mile is 1609m you can assume that to be roughtly a mile. The Zero meter marker is past this point, opposite the entrance to the kids playground.

Of course, if you join Dulwich Park Runners then you can either join the Tuesday or Thursday runs, or one of the beginner courses. Our speeds range from Seven minute mile people to 15 minute mile people, so can accomodate pretty much anyone...except Olympic chapmions ;-)
