New bbusiness bank accounts

Does anyone have experience in setting up a new business bank account and which banks are easiest to deal with.I need to complete this asap. THANKS

Hi, we used the HSBC bank on Lordship Lane but when I went in recently they had closed the business banking section. However they have one in the HSBC in Camberwell so easy to get to. I believe the 1st year was free banking. V straight forward and I mostly use online banking services. Hope that helps!

I hear Metro bank are great for small businesses.

I recently had to open a business bank account very quickly. I bank personally with Barclays so called them. The earliest i could get an appointment anywhere in London was for 3 weeks away. Called Metrobank, got an account the next day. Their service is excellent though their tools (internet banking) are far behind other banks.

I just have a separate personal current account for my business as I am a sole trader. Does away with all those nasty bank fees.

Barclays had a 2-week lead time.

Santander same day, by phone.

Thanks for the advice I have decided to give Metro Bank a go. Apparently they don't have a booking system for appointments you just turn up to see an adviser I hope this works.
