Even this old hardened soul finds the whole fire episode in Camberwell heartbreaking. I read this tale today and am moved to help. I thought perhaps others may be, too.

Must say I was depressed /shocked to read article in Guardian today - one of the residents has only just managed to borrow a clean pair of trousers .

And with other threads informing that donations are needed of toiletries,nappies etc - I wonder how much help has been offered by Southwark ?

A friend of mine knows this family and sent out an appeal via facebook. I had a facebook message from her some days ago to say that Dad now had enough money to take his family home. I'm sure that the help appeal would welcome donations though.
