Agreed. Last year I got a good rate by downloading a voucher for Travelex and presenting it at Gatwick. The best option was a kiosk in central London somewhere (Thomas Exchange in Victoria IIRC) but factoring in the train fare and time it wasn't worth it.

Avoid the high street banks and Post Office...

This spread is a bit skewed (much wider when selling EUR), and it would be skewed the other way in Euroland.

Spot/midmarket seems fair to me. Either way - glad some FX place will miss out on some/most of their ?75 :-)

    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
    • Wholeheartedly recommend Aria. He was polite, responsive and sorted our leak, from an old tap on an old plumbing system, with no bother and on same day.
