We want to say a huge, huge thank you to Lisa at Bow Wow Meow. Lisa has looked after our elderly, diabetic cat Otis since we moved to East Dulwich three years ago, and she is always great. However this weekend, she went way, way above and beyond her job and literally saved our cat's life.

This weekend, while we were at a wedding in Ireland, Otis went into hypoglycemic shock - a seizure broght on by low blood glucose, and fatal if left untreated quickly. He was fine the night before, but when Lisa came in for his morning fed and insulin injection she found Otis having a seizure. She has lots of experience with feline medical issues, and knew exactly what to do to raise his blood glucose quickly to stabilise him. It happens quickly but once it's over, diabetics are normally fine. Once he was stabilised, she took him to the emergency vet as a precaution. He got the go ahead to return home within the hour. She then returned a few hours later to find he had crashed again. She rushed him to the emergency vet, and hospitalised him for overnight monitoring. She then collected him the day after and visited throughout the day to ensure he was ok.

Throughout what must have been a horrible, scary, stressful, exhausting time for her, Lisa kept us fully informed. Even though it was truly horrible hearing this while we were so far away, it made SUCH a difference knowing Lisa was there taking SUCH good care of him. We returned to a tired, but alive, furry palwhis is 100% down to the swift action, truly fantastic care and attention of Lisa.

Lisa, you saved our little best friends life, and we can never thank you enough.

    • There seems to be a change in the reception staff - did not recognise a couple of them when I last visited.  Not sure whether one of the long term staff has retired as not seen her for a while.  Used on line facility as my podiatrist recommended antibiotics for a toe infection and also took photo of my toe which I attached yo my request. Got a message back within a day to say medication ordered from chemist.

    • Oh give it a break.  We have an MP who makes racist comments, yet our media (and what seems like this Forum) that generally hate Labour (and loved Johnson) are just out looking for the dirt. It's a move on, nothing to see here.  Particularly if she used a letting agency.
