Well should repetition be banned on EDF? Should it be banned on EDF?

If we've already had a thread before, should it be disallowed?

What about threads saying "Recommendation for a builder wanted"? Should that be banned because it has appeared before?

Betcha fiver this get's lounged....

No, it's been moved to the "About The Forum" section, because it's a question about the forum.

Since it was my comments that started this I thought I'd respond, although I'd like to make it absolutely clear I'm not involved in the running of the forum, I'm just a user like anyone else.

All I posted was a friendly and polite suggestion that it might be better to add to existing threads than start new ones to prevent the forum getting repetitive. It wasn't bullying or dictating it was my opinion as a user of the forum and I don't really see what the problem was with me posting it and why it's got you so upset. As for your TV analogy - if you don't like the show change channel - what if every channel is showing a repeat of a sit-com that wasn't that funny the first time around?

I really don't know why this has got you so wound up, or if it's just me that you're not keen on, I wasn't trying to assert any kind of authority over anyone I was just saying what I thought.

I totally sympathise annaj, I've just had to do the same in the lounge, they even had the same blimmin title...on the same page...!!!

But not everyone has worn slippers has worn (in both sense) slippers here for three years, so i have sympathy when people don't realise.

Mind you I can't think of a more pleasant not polite, nor generally all round person I'd like to be told off by than you.

Except maybe citizen....or quids, if he had a gin & tonic.

    • You are correct. I do run a solo cleaning company that offers resets and decluttering I've advertised here on ED forum In regards to your feminism comment, nowhere have I mentioned the gender of the reader. Men and women run homes so I'm sorry you were triggered unintentionally.  This post however is about me and in parallel refining my service. I also run my own home with 2 children and alot of the things I've learned as a solo cleaner I apply at home. Every tip trick, product and equipment gets invested back into my own life. I firmly believe in practice what you preach and I aim to ensure my advice and services are personal and lived. It means my clients get holistic support.  This isn't an advert it's me trying to learn more ways to help myself and therefore others.  Thanks for sharing your way of doing it – I like how practical your steps are, especially the rubbish and dishes by type, that makes a lot of sense.   I get where you’re coming from with the 10% everywhere approach. For me, I find doing one room at a time feels less overwhelming because I get that little boost of seeing a space fully finished. I guess it really comes down to what feels easiest and keeps you going – different methods click for different people.
