Hi Skip,

Here's a previous thread on TENS machines for you:

http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?25,300503,300883#msg-300883

I hired mine both times, the link to the company I used is on the thread above. I loved mine, was (in my mind anyway) a crucial tool for labour!

Good luck

Hire! Don't think it's worth it to buy because you never even know if you are definitely going to use it.

I had initially decided to use TENS and ended up using gas (and finally had an epidural - but then I did have twins both natural delivery on the Thursday after being induced on the Tuesday... so I deserved all the drugs I could get hold of!!). Seriously though gas is the way to go.

I know that Kings college Hospital rents them out so you can just ask when you go in.

Good luck and get as much rest as you can before the sleepless nights set in. Indulge in long bubble baths with music and candles, you won't get to have those for a while!

M ;)

HI - in response. I've used gas and air and TENS and had an epidural with my first - all helped. With my second, used TENS and hypnotherapy CD. Thought TENS was great.

Guess it goes to show its a very personal thing. You may love it/hate it but might be good to have hired and tried it.I found the first time that I didn't think it was heping relieve the pain - then I turned it off and realised that actually it HAD been helping!

    • Hello.   Thanks Nigel and Hparker 😀   I've got new slots available for new students looking for a piano teacher or guitar teacher.   You could start in the new term beginning September, or I'm also available adhoc-styles through the summer holidays at times.   I teach all ages, in most styles, in lots of different ways according to how you learn/like to learn.   Give me a call or text on 07730 402336.   I have connections to lots of performance opportunities/networks too.   I run regular events /student concerts, and play in bands/perform.   Natalie.
    • So do I, but I think they are in trouble as well.  Anyway, that space wouldn't be big enough.
    • I'm not talking about Starmer. I was responding to a post which  said that  Corbyn was unelectable. How people voted in the "more hotly contested election" is irrelevant. Corbyn wasn't leading the Labour Party then. Starmer was. And the turnout for Labour reflects that.
