Hi, Hoping to contact Brierly midwives to get hold of my medical records; living OS so hoping to email them but can't find details online. Thanks, Skip.

Agree baby gap and m&s great options and nothing similar in Aus. Baby gap socks are our favorite, haven't found similar out here.

A friend's daughter was advised to have grommets. They took her to a Chinese doctor who through non invasive techniques fixed the problem. I would personally explore this first. Good luck.

Hi, Baby Skip is now 8 months old; the buggy is taking up the entire boot and killing my back; so I figure it is time to get a stoller. Any tips on which one to get? Features to look for? Ideally could go on a plane in the overhead locker, and be light and compact for the car. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks, Skip.

Hi, Any thoughts on whether there are many properties for rent at the moment, and whether rental prices have been stable over the past 6 months? Thanks, Skip.

Should you use a harness on a high chair?

Thanks. I'm sure you're right. I've actually ordered the TT harness online now and am waiting for it to arrive. Yes, better safe than sorry. -

Should you use a harness on a high chair?
skip replied to skip's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thanks for that. He's 6 months old and I push the chair right up against the table. I don't think he's unsafe, but the safety people promote the use of a harness so started to worry. -
Hi, I've got a Stokke Trip Trap high chair and my son seems comfortable whilst feeding in it. I do not use the harness and feel that it is safe to use without it. I have however read that falls are the main source of hospital visits for babies/toddlers and that you should therefore use a harness on your high chair. What do you think? Do you have this chair and has your child fallen out of it, climbed out and fallen without a harness on? I'd be keen to hear of your experiences. Thanks, Skip.

thanks. mum used to use dishwashing liquid for crickey whites.

Hi, Any good tips for removing banana stains from clothing? Can't believe I never realised before that it is so hard to remove from clothing. Thanks, Skip.

Register now and decide later. You will miss out on a place and not have the option of deciding. Brierly only take a certain number/month, and you have to register very early. I don't believe any mid-wife from the practices you mention would 'desert you'. I was with Brierly, started a home birth, got rushed to Kings due to unexptected complications and my mid-wife stayed with me throughout. They are good to have with you to assist in pushing back against intervention which you may not want/or that may not be necessary. Goodluck.

Hi, Having a clear out of the pantry and some food within date that I would like to donate for Christmas charities. Anyone know where I could do this; locally if possible? Thanks, Skip.

Yes, I've gone quiet. The vitriole that this thread has generated has disappointed and shocked me. I was seeking the experiences of others to assist in enabling me to make an informed decision about the care of my child. What parent wouldn't want to be well informed about the pros and cons of injecting foreign matter into their newborn? I would have thought that being a conscientious and concerned parent was a good thing!
-
Health visitor advised us to have this done before flying due to the recylced air on planes. Anyone know how long after the injection you are considered protected? Is it immediate, or is there a lag time for it to take effect.

Not always the case. Over summer I went to Norwood B and Q thinking that their Hammerite paint would be cheaper, but turned out to be about 40% more than the little DIY shop you mention. Depends on the item I guess, but decided from then on that it was worth supporting the local store, especially as I'm time poor, and they give you good service.
-
Didn't say I believed it, am seeking advice/experience of others who may have had experience of it; not seeking pro innoculation dogma.
-
Has anyone had this done locally, know anything about it, whether it works etc? Worried about the standard jabs, and wondering whether the homeopathic route is the answer? Confused.
-
'which' are very good at reviewing these.
-
...........and are they any good? Would like some feedback before spending ?15 on a pair. Thanks, Skip.

Check the opening hours of the Sistine Chapel, it was closed the day we went, luckily we were able to go the next day.

If pregnant you can register with the Brierly Midwives based at ED Hospital. Also Oakwood midwives do the same. They come with you to the hospital, or deliver at home with a colleague. Lots of home births in ED.
