My washing machine has packed it in, and the sun has stopped shining. What to do to get the cloth nappies sorted? Is there a local laundering service that would wash my cloth nappies and return them?

Green and Blue a standout. Check it out. Also SMB is great for any ingredient you could wish for.

LAst week we had a young man asking if we'd like our very short front walkway concreted? He made no eye contact and wasn't very interested in selling his wares. Did wonder if he was a potential burglar?

Which Car Seat (next step up from newborn)
skip replied to Superstarpen's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I can recommend the 'Which' website. It has best buys, and ones to avoid at all costs, some of which are leading brand names which can be really unsafe for your child. -
where are the frogs coming from???
skip replied to tiger ranks's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We have a lovely big yellow/lime coloured frog in the garden with black markings. Good point about the snail bait. Anyone know whether organic snail bait that claims to be safe for cats and dogs etc would be safe to use for our frog? -

I've heard that accupuncture can turn the baby, however have no further details on this. May be worth making enquiries? -
Good point. I agree that is optimal, but had assumed there would still be material to harvest from the cord; maybe not?
-
Thanks Ann, that would be great. Such a shame that this isn't available yet; such a precious resource to go to waste.

Hi, Anyone managed to donate cord blood following a home birth? Would like to, but not sure if it's an option locally. If not, why not? Skip.

Or anyone been to Euro Disney. Is it any good/worth it? -
Hi, Anyone been to Paris with three children under 6, and have any good suggestions of affordable accommodation? Also keen to hear what people have found were good activities for children, and has anyone been to Disney Paris? Is it worth it, and do children love it? I've been to Paris a number of times, but never with children, and can't imagine the usual churches, museums, galleries, boutiques will be what small children want to see??? Any tips, advice would be most welcome. Thanks. Skip.

Baby seat isofix points: UK versus Australian use
skip replied to skip's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Response from Britax Australia: "Although Britax is a world wide company in Australia we manufacture under the name Safe-n-Sound. Your UK seat will not comply with the Australian Safety Standards. ISOFIX is also not approved for use in Australia. Sorry." -

Thanks everyone. When the time difference allows a call I'll let you know the outcome. Planning to purchase a Britax model recommended by Which, so have also emailed Britax, as hoping they also sell to Australia and may know the answer for their specific model. -

Thanks a lot for your research. I've also now found this; http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/Home/RoadSafety/SeatbeltsChildRestraints/ChildRestraints/ I think I'll call a fitting centre as would be using it in Victoria, and as you say different states may be different. -
Baby seat isofix points: UK versus Australian use

I know, it's confusing. We've been in touch with locals and they are describing attachment points, but not using language including the term 'isofix' so I'm wondering if it's a different but similar system? Maybe you were driving an imported car when there??? I've tried to check the Aust Standards sites, and the RACV, but that hasn't provided an answer yet. I think I may just go for a seat belt system to secure the seat.
