Good brunch places for visiting kids?

Hiya... I have my brother, nephews and niece (1 to 5yrs) coming to visit soon and wondered if anyone could suggest anywhere particularly kid friendly with good food to go for brunch? Have tried all obvious places before: Hormiman, Dulwich Park Cafe, Crystal Palace Park cafe etc etc. Just trying to think if there's any good new ones for kids?!

Thanks very much for any suggestions!

I've always loved and respected Fox on the Hill. This is on champion hill/ Denmark hill! They have kids menu, a large garden and inside family area, away from others who don't want to sit around children. Good prices. Over 20 years I have gone there.

Yes - Toasted is pretty kid friendly (in the daytime) and their breakfast/brunch is the best around. Very closely followed by Pedler. Although I would say that Pedler is a bit cramped and not really set up with pushchairs and stuff in mind.

Trio on Bellenden Rd is specifically aimed at young kids and there's a play area with toys and books. Very spacious, loads of room for pushchairs. But the menu is quite limited - e.g. bacon sandwiches, pastries (albeit very good ones), egg & soldiers. Really good coffee and fresh juices.

    • This is just normal business behaviour. That's why there are so many coffee shops in ED and shops selling gifts and interiors stuff, clothes, restaurants.  If there's more than one business of a similar type then it can benefit all of them up to a saturation point and keep up quality. It's all sounding like many think Chango has made a malicious move when it actually sounds like it's owned by one guy who has a good business that has done well.   Anyway this is all great advertising for both empanada places. Very close by is the organic grocer who sells really good value and very tasty samosas and other Indian snacks which are also worth trying.
    • Hello, Does this lovely little panther have a name? & Is he neutered & microchipped?
    • Well I don’t approve for a shop doing the same food to open so near - just wrong in my opinion. Why not go to the village, Peckham - foot fall would be great in Peckham and certainly more multi  cultural than ED. Village has money but doubt foot fall would be as good as ED.  At least they could have gone to the stretch leading up to Peckham Rye or why not bottom of Barry Road?? Or even North Cross Road I for one, on principal won’t be going in.
    • Heh yeah haven't even bothered to remove the emdash. The OP is AI slop as well.
