Steam Generator ironing board advice needed

Hi there,

I just bought a Steam Generator iron and now i m not sure if I can use it with a regular ironing board or if i need a special one. Has anyone used the Steam Generating Iron before that can give advice?

yes you can use them with a normal ironing board but its best if you can use filtered water or you can buy water for them- they clog up very quickly with limescale if you dont.

You should check on your instructions re using filtered water as with nearly all irons now inc generators they tell you not to use any water other than tap. If you empty it after every use you wont get limescale build up same goes for electric kettles too.Depends on the make as mine has special filters that you change about every 6 months and is at least 3 years old and Ive never had a limescale problem.
