'ruggers' really? when did 'rugger' become 'ruggers'?

Ruggers

The term Rugby players use to describe themselves. Such as lacrosse players are 'laxers' or 'lax bros', ruggers is a term used widely throughout the world in rugby culture. It is NOT slang for the actual sport of rugby, but for those who play it. Can be used in place of the words friends, bros, ect.

"Oh shit, here come the rest of the ruggers"

"Where my ruggers at!?"

"Free beer for all the ruggers!"

Foxy

Goes further back than that..

Wine (red) when it's cold or when I fancy cheese and biscuits (or whenever).

Wine (white) when it's hot or when I fancy a daytime session in the garden (or whenever).

Wine (ros?) when it's really hot or when I don't have either of the above left in the cupboard/fridge.

Water (from a tap) when I need to sober up.

Louisa.

    • What jab?  I had them many years ago to little or no effect.  I never went for the allergy testing where they jab you with various pollens to work out what sets you off.   Rely of tablets nowadays, so much better than the old days of piriton which sent me to sleep. June use to be hell from mid teens.
