Wanted character house or flat SE24/21/22

We are a couple with a 4 yr old daughter who have been living in Herne Hill since March 2015. While we like our current house some substantial construction is about to begin next door and we need to decide about our lease renewal in the next month or so. We would prefer to rent privately as we don't care for dealing with estate agency managers. We are seeking long term (3-5 years) accommodation however we are certainly willing to sign renewable 1 year agreements. In an ideal world the house or flat would have all the mod cons but have character and a patina that would suit a young child. We are clean and reliable with great references. Best case scenario we are looking for a large 3-4 bedroom with great light and a garden within 10-15 minute walk of Alleyn's or JAPS.

Private message me to discuss matters further.

Thank you,

Morgan

    • Thanks very much for that.   I think the better informed we are, the better our discussions will be. The article contained: "That arrest had quite an impact on the [phone theft] numbers for the following month,” said Green.  Here's another indicator, admittedly a piece of police PR,  of how well-targeted police efforts, mostly invisible to us,  can when successful  seriously affect offending figures: https://news.met.police.uk/news/met-police-drive-down-theft-and-robbery-by-84-percent-in-battersea-and-nine-elms-500495.
    • Another excellent article from Jim Waterson's London Centric reporting https://www.londoncentric.media/p/kitchen-foil-and-algerian-markets?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email Interesting that there seem to be favoured and repeated routes for phone snatching for particular thieves.  Seems ED might be one of them ☹️
    • Anywhere near the Overground/Windrush due to its excellent transport links.  You will get larger place in SE23 for example that will give you enough spare cash for private school if that's what you really want but states schools generally good, reflecting the demographic  Easy to get to the bustling streets of East Dulwich but in ten years see what happens to Forest Hill centre.  The whole of the area is full of green spaces. Access to East Croydon for days out in the South Coast
