Fuschia
I think it's about 30 mins. There are two later sessions (but 10.30 best for us)Will be nice to meet up as I can't easily manage getting a cuppa or anything, when on my own with the two of them Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7835-horniman-wednesdays/#findComment-244574 Share on other sites
Pickle
I'll try to come up with my 2, they love the museum and that sounds like fun. Hopefully see you there (I have an appointment at 9:30am but should be able to walk up in time afterwards) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7835-horniman-wednesdays/#findComment-244598 Share on other sites

Pickle
We'll definitely be there this morning, hopefully I'll recognise some familiar faces! I've got a boy and a girl and push a red Phil & Ted's Vibe. candj
I will only have my 2 year old with me (a very loud and big girl)... I'm just going to be brazen and go up to people and ask if they are Fuschia and Pickle! Fuschia
I have twins in a side by side buggy. The museum ooens at 10.30, and the first busy bee sessions also starts at 10.30 so I guess it's straight in to that with no queuing... and a cup of tea after! See you there Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7835-horniman-wednesdays/#findComment-245541 Share on other sites
Pickle
Nice to see you ladies, I'm glad you adopted the brazen "are you Pickle" approach Candj, otherwise we may have missed one another. We're definitely up for going again once we're back from our holiday, and I'll be more organised next time and give the kids their lunch at the cafe afterwards.P x Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7835-horniman-wednesdays/#findComment-245720 Share on other sites
nymom
I have been thinking of going to this. Would it be suitable for a 14 month old or is it geared toward slightly older children? Pickle
The story telling element probably suits slightly older children better, but the rest of it catered to all ages - lots of singing and they had musical instruments for the kids to play with. Good fun (a bit chaotic, partly due to my daughter who spent most of the time crawling over the stage, squealing, and leading other children astray!). candj
Great to meet you both, Pickle and Fuschia! Have a lovely holiday Pickle and see you when you return.NYmom, it would be perfect for a 14 month old as there's singing and story telling. The room it's held in is fabulous with masks and costumes from around the world, and taxidermied animals. There's a large kilim (carpet) in the middle for the children to sit/crawl on.Best,-C Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7835-horniman-wednesdays/#findComment-245757 Share on other sites
Fuschia
I managed with my two 17m olds, who kept running off to stroke the stuffed fox.. split a very nice ?3 pasta and sausage dish betwene them and necked my own lunch at 11.30am in the cafe after then had a stroll to see the animals.. and they've both been asleep ever since. Result!I'm sure this will be a regular Weds haunt.. or a playgroup of some kind (All Saints?)
