Advice please: car seats for 9 year old twins

Can anyone advise on where to get car seats for two 9year-olds (not mine) for not a lot of money?

I'm collecting them and their mum from Sunderland, after a funeral next weekend, and would appreciate some pointers.

What height are they? 135cms and over don't need anything.

If they are under 135 they just need a booster each (like a hard thick cushion you place on the seat and use the normal seat belt). In halfords (old Kent Rd or brixton) you can get their own brand for around ?6 (a bit naff) or little tikes for about ?15.

They're not quite 135cm tall yet, more like 130ish so would need something; thanks for the advice sunbob, very useful.

Agree with the above re booster seats for this age group. Argos also have some around the ?6 mark.
