Well done star13uk, I am always annoyed at the broad brush painted on these people

The term 'Traffic Warden' should quite rightly only be applied to those controlled by the Met, historically whose job it is to facillitate traffic flow, and only issue tickets as a last resort. (Yellow Perils)

The rest are all mercenary buggers adding to the coffers of their paymasters

Hi Tiger ranks,

Good luck with your appeal. I got a ticket on Pellatt Road (which was deserved - I was blocking the step down off the pavement). I paid it and then got a letter through from Southwark Council saying I hadn't paid my other ticket and they would be taking me to court if I didn't pay it etc. etc. I was totally unaware that I had another ticket - I definitely did not, as I picked up my ticket at 11am and they said I had had one issueD at 9am. Totally rubbish - there was only one on my car, not two.

I wrote a letter stating the facts and asked for photo evidence of the tickets (e.g. two, as they suggested were on my windscreen). They dropped it because they couldn't prove it.

I know I was right - but it worries me that this sort of error was made.
