I just wanted to share this experience i had today, I am a teacher who works in a special needs school and i was a bit upset that a member of the caf? team come over to us and told us we shouldn't be sitting on their tables with 8 special needs children eating their lunch as its only for paying customers who are buying food their added to this we had already just been in their and did ?10 plus on tea and coffee while the children sat outside quietly eating their sandwich and fruit.

We was told in the future we have to go and sit up the hill where there is some benches. im really upset that they told us this as there was plenty of tables free and not busy at all outside.

    • Charity shops have really good board books, especially St Christopher's
    • It was indeed in the vicinity of DKH. I live on the ED estate and I could tell it must be close by because of the noise. When I left my house this morning I found the culprits litter still in the middle of the st. It looked like they had lit a whole box on fire in the middle of the road. My cat jumped out of her skin. I’ll try and report it on Southwark website same as I have had to with other illegal use this week. Any other ideas for what we can do with the photos? Maybe one of the Southwark councillors. It’s outrageous and dangerous behaviour.
    • Had another great meal there…. those that haven’t tried it, give it a go.. have a special lunch menu as well so you can get a flavour of the food.
    • If you "cotton on" and read the council announcement, it clearly states "The library will be closed from 17 November until late June or early July 2026."  https://www.southwark.gov.uk/2025/dulwich-library-closing-refurbishment
