On the way to school, walking down Underhill Road, I saw a woman driving her car with a toddler on her lap. I didn't get to memorise the numberplate or make if car. I am shocked that someone would drive like that. The kid looked like he was having great fun 'driving' the car. I really hope the driver was stopped.
Shocking, though not uncommon I fear. Someone who lives very close to me regularly takes off at speed with 3 children in the car, none of whom are in child restraints (ages are approx. 8, 5 and 2). I've seen the youngest "helping" drive the car a few times... not sure how far they go, but it's irrelevant!
It is shocking in this day and age. Makes me wonder how I ever survived childhood. My dad did that with us all the time - sitting on his lap letting us drive. Not sure society has got it right yet though... Anybody else over the big 5 0 who remembers when being a kid was fun - without electronic aids. i grew up without TV, computers (Africa) - and just about everything we got up to would probably be illegal now (in a 'Elf n Safty way). But it was fun.

    • Hello.   Thanks Nigel and Hparker 😀   I've got new slots available for new students looking for a piano teacher or guitar teacher.   You could start in the new term beginning September, or I'm also available adhoc-styles through the summer holidays at times.   I teach all ages, in most styles, in lots of different ways according to how you learn/like to learn.   Give me a call or text on 07730 402336.   I have connections to lots of performance opportunities/networks too.   I run regular events /student concerts, and play in bands/perform.   Natalie.
    • So do I, but I think they are in trouble as well.  Anyway, that space wouldn't be big enough.
    • I'm not talking about Starmer. I was responding to a post which  said that  Corbyn was unelectable. How people voted in the "more hotly contested election" is irrelevant. Corbyn wasn't leading the Labour Party then. Starmer was. And the turnout for Labour reflects that.
