Hi

Hoping someone can help with advice on this senerio!

Planning was going through, now there is an about turn as a planning officer has sighted the land as agricultural and it has been proven that it is legally not ! But the officer has stated that in his opinion it is so that is that !!! Where do you go next as this appears to be a personal grudge rather than based on the facts !!!

Help needed please ...

Peckham Rye Park was formed out of agricultural land in 1894.. Maybe under some old Act it still is. ?

The point is it is not agricultural land ...definitely ...but I have read if we go to the ombudsman to appeal they always side with the planners ...so what do you do ...it is personal, we believe the planner has a dislike or had a run in with the architect we are using or the neighbours have a contact in the office to oppose it !!!
Where have you read that the Ombudsman always sides with the planners? If you're that worried about the relationship between the planner and your architect, use a specialist Planning Consultant for an appeal. They deal solely with matters like this, whereas an architect's experience will usually be limited by comparison...

Lot of conjecture in the OP.

If not making sense with planning contact then ask for an alternative person to deal with.

If still not happy then escalate.

Also look for similar local applications and do your history on the people you're dealing with,

Or just join the masons and sort it that way.

    • Hallo As far as I know  info you have quoted is wrong.  You can phone for an appointment although I have always found it easier to do online. Go to their website for info on how to book appointments Any requests I have made have been reviewed and answered by a GP within 4 hours
    • Nadia did a great job tidying up my very very overgrown yard. (See the before and after photos). I live in New Zealand and my tenants said a neighbour has been complaining about the out of control ivy. Nadia was easy to contact so over WhatsApp, managed to liaise between me and my tenants. Her quote was reasonable for the amount of work that needed doing, and the end result is great! She sent photos throughout so I could track progress. Would highly recommend her to others.
    • My car was stolen a few months back from my driveway but I had a tracker and found it in a private car park in Lavender Hill close to the police station. I was lucky. The thieves hide it up against that eventuality. High spec cars are targeted I'm afraid. The way it was stolen required the thieves to wire in their own computer accessing a front light (which had had a metal sheet welded across which they prised off). They had searched for a tracker but not found it. They also had to cut away a steering wheel lock. They had to come well tooled up and briefed to do what they did. Beating them off is non trivial. As I said, them not finding my tracker was just lucky.
