HI T&G

I think there is always room for a craft club.

Some of the difficulties I would have is that on the days that I can pick up my child from 3.30 from school are perhaps not the days that I would then take her to an activity, and the rest of the days are scheduled for either after school club or another activity. I would make an exception if it was a craft or something that she particularly wanted to do (like clay making) rather than a general craft.

For the weekend, I would prefer something to be drop in (although I know that might not be the best for the person organizing it) as I do not want to commit our weekend away too much and sometimes just don't feel like doing an activity.

Would your classes be a drop off? However 45 minutes doesn't leave too much scope for the parent/carer to go anywhere - if it is longer, e.g. 2 hours then the person doing the drop off can conceivably get something else done, rather than wait at the venue.

For a 45 minute session I would expect to pay around the ?5 - 8 mark, and that would depend on what was offered (materials and crafts used) etc.

    • What are the dimensions of the mesh cage? I have a similar one to deter pigeons, but it sits on the ground and is quite large.
    • I have a single glazed bay window in my kitchen. All my other windows (including a separate window in my kitchen)  are double glazed. I had a quote to fit double glazing to the bay. It was extremely high and I wasn't willing to pay such a lot for a room I don't spend a vast amount of time in. Has anybody had secondary glazing fitted to a back bay window, and if so was it successful and did it look ok from the inside? And what sort of price can I expect to pay?
    • ditto - the lack of respect the organisers / council have for the impact on the wildlife and damage to the park is the reason I protest the Gala on its current site. The noise is secondary
    • Not sure about that - I'm personally not too bothered by the noise, despite living possibly the closest to the site. I am bothered by the impact on all the wildlife, as should hopefully everyone with a conscience and who care about their community?
