co-working space

I've started my own business and looking into getting a space to share with others in ED - similar to the WeWork (www.wework.com/locations/london) concept (but they only have central London). Anyone else interested or thoughts on this? I've heard there's a place in Clapham, does anyone have the detail?

Thanks

M

A couple of days a week I use this one in Loughborough Junction which I really like. I have tried out a lot of these spaces and found they either tended to have loud music or be really expensive (or just too trendy for me in the case of the bussey building!). You can either pay by the month or by the hour if you think you're not going to use it that much, I alternate between the two depending on how much I need to work there. https://www.neardesk.com/locations/details/108

Forgot to add, I also found out about Vrumi.com last week. A new London based company - and called "the office version of Airbnb" (by the Times), so you can rent out your home (while you're at work etc.)to people to use as office / meeting space.

It's free to host and they verify guests' ID.

For some unknown reason they have lots of hosts all over London except in south-east London (which is strange as we have a large creative community here).

    • Is Dell Autos closing down completely or just moving? For whatever it's worth, for MOTs I've had good recent experience with The Test Centre in Deptford. They only do MOTs so they don't have any particular incentive to fail you and they usually have same day appointments. Open 7 days a week and late. https://www.thetestcentre.co.uk/our-test-centres/deptford-branch/ Obviously you would still need a "normal" garage to do servicing and repairs etc.
    • So what is the issue? You want compensation for the loss of value, or you want to expedite the matter?
    • No. What happened? I actually thought, considering it was what we used to call Guy Fawkes Day last night, the loud noises from  fireworks ended remarkably early. About 9pm? Maybe I just fell asleep and didn't hear any later ones. Do people actually burn Guys any more? Apart from at places like Lewes, where I believe they still have Bonfire Societies and burn effigies of various political figures etc.
    • The accompaniment to our "Christmas Pudding" aka Nothing-Whatever-Like-A- Christmas-Pudding last year  at The Cherry Tree was "brandy butter ice-cream." If it had ever been near any brandy, the brandy must have been waved in its direction from a very great distance. Same with butter. The ice cream tasted like bog standard "vanilla" from a catering tub. At least it did bear some resemblance to ice cream. Whereas the "Christmas Pudding" bore no resemblance whatever to any Christmas Pudding I have ever seen or tasted in my many  decades of seeing and tasting Christmas Puddings. Oh, and Cinzano Bianco. Bleurgh. My sister used to drink that. 🤢
